Dr. McLaughlin traveled to Atlanta to present collaborative work on cognitive training game accessibility and usability at the TechSAge RERC Advisory Board meeting this week. The overall purpose of this research project is to understand and support the needs of older persons who are aging with an already-existing disability. Food for Thought is a cognitive training game developed by Drs. McLaughlin and Gandy Coleman for older adults. Other products will include tools for game developers interested in accessibilty and guidelines for engaging content for older players of therapeutic games.
